Food, food, Fabulous Food!

I haven’t done a foodie post in a while.  Partly because I wasn’t taking many pictures of food and I hate to just write a post full of links.  But I’ve been more mindful or recording some good eats lately.

So here goes…

Penguin Awareness Day treats!!

Penguin cookies…super easy to make…trust me, I’m not a huge fan of decorating stuff!

And same for this cake, really easy!!  And I hate decorating cakes!

Mmm, I love one-pot savory meals!  Creamy Spinach & Sausage Pasta.

Baked Pork Chops.  Been trying out several pork chop recipes too with a freezer full of them!  Those were so tasty!  Served with our favorite savory noodle recipe…just a mix of honey, ginger, garlic, parsley, S&P and parmesan cheese.  Soooo good!

I made this for National Chocolate Cake Day!  Pioneer Woman’s Best Chocolate Sheet Cake.  Indeed, one of the best!  Now lest you think we eat tons of dessert, we don’t!  Yes, we have dessert every night, but just one serving of something.  The rest gets packaged up for the freezer (or set on the cake plate for the next night) for future easy dessert ideas!  Here’s proof….

Yummy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies,

Girl with a mission pushes chair across kitchen…SCORE!

A few links with no personal photos!

Best ever Baked Sweet & Sour Chicken.  Yes, best ever.  Multi-steps, but worth. it.  And I added double the chicken and next time might add more veggies!  Served with brown rice.  YUM.  It was worth the effort for me because it made enough for two complete meals, plus the kids had some for lunches.

Brownie Pie.  So fudgey and delicious!

Pomegranate, Pear, Pistachio Salad.  Mmm, so tasty and colorful!  FULL of flavor and goodness.  Food=medicine in our house.  Eat good food, stay healthy!  Thus what my Aldi runs often look like,

Best Baked Chicken Legs.  Indeed, one of the best recipes I’ve tried…and I’ve been trying a few with all the chicken legs DH bought on sale!  So tasty!

This Baked Penne w/vegetables made for a delicious vegetarian meal!  Served with roasted broccoli.

That’s all for now!  Enjoy!  Leave me a comment with a link to a favorite recipe you’ve recently tried!

Our stand-by favorite Ranch dressing recipe.  So full of flavor!
