My third project today is a festive coffee sleeve gift card holder.  I was inspired by this sweet project over on the Simon Says blog.

I used my Silhouette for the word “JOY” and the snowflakes.

I painted my coffee sleeve with red acrylic paint and added some gold glitter before the paint dried.

My 2nd project today, a delightful glittery JOYful cuppa’!

I followed this super easy tutorial to do the glitter part  (I used the same items…Martha Stewart Decoupage and gold glitter found at Michael’s).  And I followed this tutorial on how to heat set my word (I used a black Sharpie).  I’m loving the outcome!  Joy may or may not be my One Little Word for 2015!  yay!

I found my mug at Pier 1.  But you can also find them at Walmart.  I’ve heard Dollar Store carries them, but I didn’t find any regular white coffee mugs at ours.

#100challenge 5/100 DIY dryer sheets & 6/100 spending journal

Trying out a new to me DIY recipe…dryer sheets!

I used these two links,

Dryer sheets

(I used a drop of tea tree, a drop of lemon and a few drops of lavender.  Cut two little squares from an old t-shirt.)

For the foil ball to reduce static

I’m having a mental health day at home.  It’s the first quiet home day all to myself and Phebe since before Christmas break!!  Honest!  So we are having a quiet day at home and I do believe Phebe read my thoughts because she took a two hour nap this morning….that has happened in WEEKS!  So I’m finding myself just going with whatever comes to mind.  Listened to the January video presentation for my OLW, looked up some quotes for my OLW, found some Pinterest links for this DIY project.

And then got this set up for the new year….

 6/100:

A spending journal…again!

image

Along with being more conscientious about products I use, I really want to spend less.  It’s ridiculous how much our society is built up on spending and having and wanting and maybe a tiny bit of needing!

This worked for me the last time I did it…but I stopped when I got good and then well, I got bad again!  I tore the sheets out that I used from last time and will start fresh in the same journal.

Thankful to accomplish two projects without buying a thing!  Yes!!!!  Part of the 100/100 challenge is not buying anything new.  I have personalized that for me too, on certain things I will need a few items, but others I may just be wanting for sure!

So that’s two big things I’ve been wanting to take time to DO!  I’m loving this challenge.  It’s not maybe how someone else is doing it, but I’ve personalized it to work for me and it’s working….so far!  I don’t need to make 100 cards…mostly b/c I don’t send out that many anymore, but more so b/c I have SO many other projects that need doing and loving!  Stay tuned and thank you for stopping by.  I have baby hands helping me type so I must find some thing more interesting and fun of her.  I did find Baby Einstein tunes on Pandora though and that sure made her day!!
