I re-read this blog post with all my count-downs that were going through my head at that time! Wow! Time sure flew and here we are six weeks later and most of the items I was counting down to have happened. Of course, I haven’t had the baby yet, so that continues to be a count-down LOL! 72 more days to be exact! Exact to due date that would be. We all know the date/hour/minute that labor starts has no exactness to it at. all.
So forgive the wordiness again (maybe today’s previous photo-rich post will make up for it!) but these posts are good for me. And awesome to look back on to see progress and that you made it through… DD1 does have a wonderful photo op she wants to do of my belly for her ABC scrapbook so that should be coming up soon as we need to get it taken so she can have the photo to scrapbook.
February is LONG gone…thank goodness!! And now April is here.
Spring has arrived…I think that’s completely safe to say now!
DD1 and DH’s birthdays are done, and now we countdown to DD2’s birthday in May. 41 more days!
Our anniversary is in 39 days. Looking forward to a nice dinner out together!
Memorial Day is our next holiday off (two early releases though to tide us over at least) from school, 55 more days. A yummy, fun potluck that weekend to look forward to.
Some of dad’s doctor appointments are over, but new ones have cropped up!
The dreaded glucose test is over and I passed!
The much-anticipated ultrasound is over and all is well!
Spring break is over and now we countdown to summer vacation! 65 more days as long as we don’t make-up any more snow days. DH has even less than that…not sure when his last day of classes is.
Our special church meeting is this Sunday! Joy!
Still haven’t toured the birthing suites, but that’s coming up around 36 weeks they tell me. ~45 more days likely.
Still intimidated by the diaper bag & my hospital bag needing to be packed. Still lots of time on that though!
Bassinet dolls still haven’t been evicted, but plenty of time for that to happen too!
Taxes are done.
We have five new baby chicks. Red Star layer chicks, cute as can be!
We had company for Sunday lunch and it was wonderful! A delicious ham dinner, complete with carrot cake for dessert!
And planned company for another Sunday! Joy again!
SO! That’s the count-down recalculation.
Those six weeks flew by, so I hope the next 10 1/2 weeks fly by too. I think they will!
I’m doing more yoga stretching and visiting the chiropractor just to keep things in alignment and ready to GO! I take my daily walks still. No more really bad days, but still some icky days. Certainly more tolerable than the really bad days I was having No sleep issues yet. Still not big on super sweet things (DH even offered to bring home some after-Easter clearance candy and I said no thanks…not for me anyway!). Finally had cravings for my favorite dark chocolate mini bars again…that was a good sign to me and made my day! I’ve also lost my appetite for the fast food and junk food cravings THANK GOODNESS!! I take my vitamins and fish oil daily now with no problem, and I’m enjoying eating more whole foods. Summer porridge with chia seeds as part of my daily breakfast. A slew of benefits right there! Salads for lunch. I have my own water pitcher to monitor fluid intake. Coffee still doesn’t appeal and right now I’m not even drinking any tea. Weight gain is still going on the low side. 13 lbs right now. Fine by me! Some people tell me I’m really popping out, while others say I’m hardly looking 6 1/2 months preggo! Gotta’ love all the comments that come in. And they will just increase as you get more and more tidbits on how to speed up labor and the BIG DAY! All in all, in my mind I summarize this as my own body getting ready. Losing the junk food taste, wanting whole foods, drinking lots of water, and definitely getting some good Braxton Hicks contractions going on! My intuition might be right that this baby will come earlier!!
It’s a sunny 37* day and I’m outta’ here for a walk now!
Happy day!
